Athena is part of a litter of six puppies (Lili, Athena, Zeus, Poppy, Cali & Rose). Their mom was in bad shape at a local Veracruz home and gave birth to six puppies. Athena gets along with dogs, cats & kids. She has been leash trained and can go on long walks.
Athena had a broken front (right) leg bone when rescued. It was repaired by an orthopaedic surgeon and she was nursed back to health. She can run freely but has a visible outward bone in the leg.
